Who says your soul mate has to have two legs.
I love dogs. Full stop.
And that’s pretty special given I was terrified of dogs, until I fell in love with a cavoodle in 2013.
From then on, dogs have become love, life and family.
And Obi is all of that. He is my soul mate and got me through life’s toughest days.
At work all I could think about was Obi. I changed careers and retrained from teaching two legged hoomans to four legged fur babies. I completed Certificate IV in Animal Training and Behaviour and Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety, and I have not looked back.
I started Dogs at Obi’s in 2016, with only two dogs on a Saturday, then I had a waiting list for daycare, and boarding booked months ahead. Obi’s stopped with the world in 2020 and we moved to our new home, Parramatta.
Dogs aren’t a job, or a hobby. They’re family and responsibility, purpose and joy, and they deserve the best.
